Chaos Engine is an online (for now!*) gift shop for people who are white-knuckling it through this absurd existence and coping through irreverent dark humor. We make fun stuff for terrible times!

Founded and operated by Nashville-based artist, writer, and designer Lindsey Turner, Chaos Engine (called Eyedot Creative until 2025) is like a gift shop for the apocalypse — bleak, but fun! 

About Chaos Engine's art

Day after day, the Chaos Engine (aka Lindsey's overheated brain) compulsively slurps up the mundane yet ridiculous details of life in our late capitalist dystopia, then churns and burns those distressing details into fuel that powers the apparel, cards, stickers, and other fun things. 

For Chaos Engine, Lindsey combines her original illustrations and photographs with vintage and public domain images to explore and get lost in the quiet madness of life in the 2020s.

Lindsey's art and Chaos Engine's output riffs on themes that span pop culture, horror, science fiction, literature, religion, politics, brainrot, burnout, existential dread, video games, terminal onlineness, ennui, aging, anxiety, and living through a tech-dependent late capitalist dystopia as a chronically ill neurodivergent person unpacking a whole suitcase of traumas and epigenetic wounds.

About Lindsey 

Lindsey is a lifelong Tennessean and recovering journalist who spends her time freelancing as a content creator, communications strategist, and art director. She spends her days hiding in the shadows, staring into glowing rectangles, talking to herself, and juggling the spinning plates that are her many unfinished passion projects. She's an average mother and a subpar wife. 

* Someday, we'd love to open a brick-and-mortar store! Or maybe just erect a pop-up atop a heap of melted scrap metal left behind in place of a burned-down AI data center!
